Industrial Designer, Starfish Medical
Morna Gamblin is an Industrial Designer and educator based in Toronto, Canada.
For the past 14 years, she has designed a wide range of products that engage different aspects of life, such as wearable tech, search & rescue devices, adult toys, consumer electronics, and housewares. Most recently, she is helping to shape new medical technologies into human-centered medical devices at Starfish Medical.
As an educator, she has taught design courses at Humber and Centennial Colleges. In 2017, she started a YouTube channel called Design plus Morna to share her knowledge, distilled from practice and honed in the classroom.
This diverse experience has developed a strong interest in the thinking-tools designers use to materialize their ideas and solve problems creatively.
Morna is active in the design community, where she serves on the board of ACIDO (Association of Chartered Industrial Designers of Ontario) as Membership Director.
