Brenden Macaluso is Shop Director of the Common Motor Collective in Houston, a community workshop dedicated to the preservation and education of vintage motorcycle mechanics. Macaluso has a BBA in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Industrial Design from the University of Houston. His design philosophy focuses on applied sustainability—design for the full life cycle of a product and implement long term support for what has already been made. He previously was the principal developer for Recompute, a sustainable desktop computer made of cardboard components.
