Jack K. Beduhn, FIDSA

U.S. industrial designer who received his undergraduate degree in industrial design from Michigan State University, and a masters degree in design from Wayne State University. He is retired from NCR Corporation where he held senior management positions including: Design Integrity Vice President and Director, Human Factors Engineering. During his tenure, NCR offered a multi-disciplinary approach to design excellence that integrated Usability, Aesthetics and Identity through a user-centered design process to create products that were complete, sound and satisfying. The NCR Design team succeeded in major national and international design competitions. He received Industrial Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) for product design and design management. In 1999, he was elected to the IDSA (Industrial Designers Society of America) Academy of Fellows, for his distinguished service to the Society and to the profession as a whole. Beduhn is currently teaching foundation design courses including drafting, perspective and sketch techniques to students at the Art Institute of California, San Diego. He and his wife Rita are completing construction of a house he designed on seven acres of property in North San Diego County.
