Carolina Gill

Carolina Gill is an associate professor for the Department of Graphic and Industrial Design at North Carolina State University. Previously, she was the graduate studies chair for the Department of Design at Ohio State University. She has also taught at Georgia Tech; University of Strathclyde in Glasgow; and Istituto Europeo di Design in Barcelona.
Professor Gill’s research interests include the application of foundational design thinking strategies to address complex and open-ended design challenges; and assisting cross-disciplinary teams in the innovation process. In her teaching, she focuses on the role design can play in fostering innovation at the local and global levels—particularly through service design, and design for social inclusion.
