The Synergy Between Designer/Client/Consumer: Rules for Success | HERBST

Session Title:
The Synergy Between Designer/Client/Consumer: Rules for Success
WALTER HERBST

This session examines the differences in the methodology of design according to the size of the client. Publicly held or clients larger than $50 million demand and require a different management style than those clients who represent privately held or smaller firms. The basic organization chart might appear to have comparable titles and reporting structure, however, the actual process for design development work for those structures is dramatically different. To achieve design success, the design organization needs to have its own objectives in focus as those objectives indicate how one goes about building a practice with targeted clients.
