Siemens

Siemens Gammasonics was having a tough time in the early 1990s. Pummeled by external competition and internal developmental dead-ends, it found itself sinking in the nuclear imaging field. There was only one way to go—up. But it would take a whole new approach to design the system of the future. An innovative process of cross-functional design yielded 15 subsequent years of best-in-class performance and put Siemens back atop the imaging pedestal.

The catalyst design case studies are available in text version ($9.99) or as an audio file ($12.99) at the IDSA Online store.
