Serious Play: An Applied Gaming Workshop

Thursday, March 1 2012

201 Mulberry St

New York, NY

5:00pm

Special Guest: Nathan Verrill

In today's highly social world, companies are increasingly using social gaming and gamification strategies to provide a more compelling, enjoyable experience for their customers and employees.  Innovative startups, established brands and not-for-profits are solving problems and achieving objectives with sound gaming strategies applied to a wide range of activities.

In this fun and educational event sponsored by Amazon Web Services and Engine Yard, you'll learn why and how companies are implementing game design techniques that connect players across web, mobile and live events using the Cloud. You’ll have an opportunity to participate in a hands-on mini workshop with recognized Applied Gaming expert Nathan Verrill, co-founder of Natron Baxter. Following the workshop, you'll also have an opportunity to network over drinks and hors d'oeuvres with fellow developers, entrepreneurs and marketers.
