Sean Kennon
Sean Kennon, IDSA | Philadelphia University
My design career started before I knew it, as I grew up with LEGO bricks. While other kids were content to build multicolored monstrosities, I sorted my LEGO bricks by color and made storylines complete with characters and environments. People told me I'd grow up to be an engineer or architect, but it never felt right. I went to Philadelphia University for Architecture, but I quickly switched to Industrial Design after finding out more. Now four years later, I have experience with many different products, individual and multi-disciplinary teams, and design research, but my passion is still in Toy Design.
My specialties are model building, Abobe CS, SolidWorks, and concepting. I worked for nearly two and half years as a shop monitor in the student workshop, where I helped others prototype, maintained machinery, and operated the laser cutter. I had used Photoshop for years before going to college, where I learned Illustrator and taught myself InDesign. After CAD I, other students kept asking me to help them with their SolidWorks models in the studio. Finally, I love concepting and bouncing my ideas off of others.
I'm actively looking for opportunities in design, so please visit me at coroflot.com/seank & linkedin.com/in/seankennon, or email me at seankennon[at]gmail.com.
Thanks,
Sean Kennon
