Matthew Marzynski, IDSA | University of Washington
Matthew Marzynski teaches industrial design at the University of Washington’s School of Art + Art History + Design. He has had a diverse industrial design career that has found him observing surgery, wearing body armor or testing the engineering of makeup, among other experiences. Marzynski more recently led the industrial design team at Fluke, makers of rugged industrial test and measurement tools. Prior to this, he practiced at several ID consulting firms in New York and Boston. Marzynski graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and now lives in Seattle where he and his wife, an architect, and children enjoy the region’s range of geography, Craftsman houses and old cars.
Marzynski holds a bachelor’s in industrial design from the Rhode Island School of Design. He strives to strengthen education of young designers through practicum by mentoring interns at Fluke and serving as a guest critic at ID programs around Seattle.
