Paul Hatch is president of the Chicago branch of TEAMS Design, which he opened in 1998. TEAMS Design now has five branches, over 90 industrial designers and has received well over 1,000 design awards. The firm is known for designing entire product lines for its clients and creating Visual Brand Languages that help reposition brands.
Hatch is also known for founding and running a "extreme debate" event for the IDSA called Fight Club, which was also filmed as a pilot for a TV show. He was IDSA District VP 2004-2006 and chaired the Midwest Conferences for those years.
Together with Deana McDonagh he was responsible for creating the IDSA books Impact, the Synergy of Technology, Business and Design and REALIZE – Design Means Business in 2005 and 2006.
Wikipedia lists Hatch as having 29 patents and 30 design awards. In April 2009, Hatch was the third design professional ever to be awarded the IDSA Midwest Honors for Outstanding Achievement.
