Equinox

The objective was to design a portable product that made the user feel comfortable in an otherwise foreign environment. The result of this challenge is a backpack aimed at 20-something travelers. Worn like other packs (shoulder straps and a waist harness), it features many pockets-some camouflaged for security, others out in the open. The security pockets are accessible while the user is wearing the pack. A pocket on the back allows the wearer to display memorabilia such as maps, tickets, postcards, etc. The Elevated Frame System (EFS) is made of durable mesh fabric stretched over two opposing aluminum frame shafts.

  • The EFS was inspired by the Aeron chair.
