PhillyCHI has invited us to join them for their inaugural Design Slam. This is a chance for interested IAs, designers and usability practitioners to get their hands dirty working side by side with colleagues as they tackle tough business problems in a fun and sometimes crazy environment. Freeman's Auction House is holding it's 2nd Annual Pennsylvania Sale. Created last year to celebrate the auction house's 200th anniversary, the Pennsylvania Sale features lots produced within the Commonwealth. Currently on display at The Reading Public Museum is the exhibition "In Nature's Embrace: The World of Harry Bertoia". A resident of Berks County for 28 years, Bertoia produced prints, jewelry, holloware, drawings, paintings, sculpture, as well as his famous chairs for Knoll. The exhibition displays 100 works by Bertoia and explores the organic influences that nature had on his approach to design.
The AIA Philadelphia Associate Committee is inviting the design community to the opening of the latest Window Display Competition hosted by Artimide. The opening is a catered affair to celebrate Ryan Drummond, the winning designer. Ryan's design will be on display until the end of February, and all other presentation board entries will be on display for the opening.

We invite local professionals from the design community to come review student portfolios, discuss jobs, internships, work experience, and provide interview tips.
