Balloonimals is an interactive game for the iPad and iPhone that, through touch activation, lets young children and their parents bring digital balloon animals to life. It features simple controls, high-quality 3D renderings and animation, playful sound effects (squeaks, quacks, roars) and a variety of creatures that randomly cycle through every time the game is played.
The Belkin Conserve Gateway and Display provide real-time insight and control over home energy use. Working together, they translate data from a utility-installed smart meter into an easy-to-understand format to allow consumers to better understand their energy use, make smarter decisions and change how they use energy.

The facts+patterns project consists of various everyday objects that all have one thing in common: They convey valuable facts via their decors and patterns and thereby enable an innovative and vivid access to different subjects in everyday life. For instance, the infographic pattern on a dress can convey information about working conditions and low labor costs in many garment-producing countries.

The T-bike system is an urban public bike sharing service for Seoul. Each of its bike racks accommodates 32 bikes in one car-sized parking space; installing the bike rack is as easy as installing a vending machine. Electric pickup trucks circulate bikes to avoid undersupplies or oversupplies. Bike availability can be checked using a mobile application, and bikes can be reserved in advance.

The Conserve Smart AV is an energy-saving surge protector for audio and video equipment. It lets you control power to your whole entertainment system with your TV remote’s power button. When you turn your TV off, power to the rest of the AV system goes off too. This eliminates the power draw that usually occurs in standby mode.

The Coral RASA is a coral reef monitoring device for environmental organizations, local governments and community groups. It features a 360 degree rotational camera, a hydrophone, a water testing unit and coral bleaching detection. The device is places on the ocean floor beneath the coral reef. The audio and video can be viewed online, and data is recorded on the embedded hard drive for later downloading.

The Alair Bronchial thermoplasty system is a nondrug treatment for asthma. The treatment is delivered without incisions by passing the catheter through a flexible bronchoscope. It works by applying radio frequency energy to the wall of the airways in the lungs. This energy reduces the amount of smooth muscle in this wall, which in turn reduces the wall’s ability to constrict during an asthma attack.

It constantly tracks the patient’s status to detect problems early and keeps patients in continuous contact with a health-care service that can provide aid if needed. Initially design for cardiology, eMonitors is an open real-time wireless platform that can adapt and scale to cover other therapeutic applications.
