Sixty years ago, young geeky boys built rocket models and read Isaac Asimov. Twenty years later, they watched Star Trek, dreaming of hand-held Communicators. Now, the world is in bits and bytes and AT&T sponsors billions of Communicators.
We try to bring creative energy to our work. Doesn't matter if we're designers, engineers, project managers, or anthropologists, I don't know a single person who likes to just phone it in or to be the naysayer in the group...OK, maybe I know one person like that. Three kickoff events in two months and somehow still standing. Well, not just standing, thriving! The level of involvement the IDSA Silicon Valley Chapter has seen starting as nothing more than good idea a scant few months ago has been extremely encouraging.

Many (including yours truly) braved some intense traffic to get there, but a beautiful location and a healthy buzz of thoughtful conversations made it well worth the while. There was also nothing more rewarding than to hear grateful comments from some members out on the coast for there finally being an IDSA event close to home.
