TEAMS Design updated Electro-Voice’s visual brand language (VBL) with the ZLX line, marking the beginning of a new VBL for future EV products. The goal of the design team was to create a visually stimulating and modern look to back up the brands reputation for pro-quality sound. This was accomplished through a durable enclosure resembling brick layered strength. A new solid metal badge replaced the previous logo, which conveys the products high quality. The ZLX’s angular silhouette emphasizes its strength and durability.

The 2012 Medical Design Excellence Awards (MDEA) jury selected the Safepole IV Pole as a Gold winner in the General Hospital Devices and Therapeutic Products category.
The winning design originated from the firsthand experience of Safepole founder Cari Ugent. When Ugent was hospitalized for intensive cancer treatment, she became frustrated while dragging around an IV pole that hindered her from performing basic tasks. She came to TEAMS Design to improve upon the flawed device. Together, they pushed the limits of standard IV poles.
