Alistair Hamilton, IDSA
In May of 2011 Alistair became Vice President of User Experience for Blackberry at RIM.
From 2006 he was the principal at DesignPost - a research and development firm incubating new consumer insights technology and providing design management consulting.
He is also presently IDSA's executive editor of Innovation, IDSA’s quarterly journal and has served as director at large of the IDSA Board or Directors from 2009-2010.
Alistair started out at NCR Corporation and spent 10 years in a variety of roles and businesses. He was vice president of innovation & design in Motorola's Enterprise Mobility Group (previously Symbol Technologies) from 1998 to 2007 when he built the integrated design, research and innovation function. Following Motorola he spent two years at Microsoft as partner design director for Windows Mobile and later Zune and the integrated Television, Video and Music team.
He holds a bachelor's in industrial design from Carleton University and a master's in environmental studies/industrial ecology from Antioch University.
